Legendary classic Macintosh game 'Dark Castle' is coming back to the Mac

‘Dark Castle,’ a game released in 1986 for early compact Macintoshes, is being released for modern Macs with its sequel, ‘Beyond Dark Castle,’ included.

Return to Dark Castle is coming to the Mac, PC, and Steam Deck

The two games will be rolled into Return to Dark Castle, bringing the legendary platforming game to modern computers. The game will be available for both the Mac and PC, as well as Valve’s Steam Deck.

Dark Castle’s resurrection is thanks to a new publisher, Ludit Games. Notably, the publisher is an independent studio founded by Mark Pierce, the animator and a co-creator of the original Macintosh title.
