Yesterday, we told you about the mysterious teaser with the six members of the Ideas team. Today, the suspense is over and the verdict is here. Of the 57 creations in the running for this first 2025 review phase, no less than six have won their ticket to become official sets. An absolute record which confirms the brilliant health of the Danish brand’s community program.
The six big winners revealed
First validated project: the Power Rangers Megazord by TrumanBricks. Fans of the cult 90s series will finally be able to recreate the giant robot in bricks. Just after, it’s a bowl of Japanese ramen signed Micdud who wins his place, proof that LEGO Ideas is not afraid of original and slightly strange concepts.
La Catrina de yop 1172 brings a cultural touch with this iconic figure of Mexican folklore, perfect for Día de los Muertos. The Smurfs’ village imagined by The Half Blood Baron should delight nostalgic fans, with its iconic mushrooms and its little blue characters. AND the extraterrestrial also makes its entrance thanks to Lafabrickbringing back this cult Spielberg license into the LEGO universe after years of absence. Finally, Downton Abbey Castle by BRO3which was waiting in the LEGO Parking Lot, finally gets its final green light.
Three projects still pending
Not all creators have had the same luck. Three projects join the famous Parking Lot, this waiting area where LEGO takes the time to evaluate the possibilities in more detail. The Daft Punk concert by RobotRock makes its debut, as does a creation around the Golden Girls by Martin_Studio and an adaptation of The Old Man and the Sea by Iyan ha. These projects remain in the race, but will have to wait before knowing their final fate.
For the 48 other creations, it is unfortunately the end of the adventure. Their creators will, however, leave with a consolation prize of $500 in LEGO products, so as not to leave empty-handed after having mobilized 10,000 supporters.
A machine running at full speed
This record announcement comes as the second phase of the 2025 review is already in full swing. And we will have to hold on since, 146 projects reached the 10,000 votes necessary for this new waveonce again exploding all the counters. The results will fall in the first quarter of 2026, and we can bet that LEGO will not skimp on validations.
The IDEAS program proves every year that it remains the best way for fans to see their creations become reality. The six creators validated today will pocket 5% commission on each sale, in addition to receiving five copies of their set. We now have to wait for the versions finalized by LEGO designers, probably for release in 2026.
