LG regularly makes a splash at CES by presenting transparent OLED solutions. The manufacturer’s latest idea dates back to CES 2024 with the SIGNATURE OLED T, a 77-inch transparent and wireless TV. The features of this one-of-a-kind TV are impressive, because it combines a transparent 4K OLED panel with LG’s audio and wireless transmission technology.
Unique functions for this transparent screen
The strength of OLED T, which we were able to approach (see the video below) is to offer two display modes. It offers an Always-On-Display (AOD) function to transform into a transparent digital canvas and present artwork, videos or photos. From this transparent mode, it is also possible to activate an information bar (T-Bar function) which scrolls across the lower part of the screen. It displays news alerts, weather forecasts or the titles of songs currently playing, while the rest of the screen remains empty and transparent.
With a simple press, it is then possible to increase the contrast and obtain an opaque mode close to that of a classic OLED television. This high-end model benefits from LG’s latest technologies, such as the α (Alpha) 11 AI processor and its performance based on artificial intelligence (AI). The television supports Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos or even HDR10 and HLG.

Available in a single 77-inch size, the TV opts for a modular design. It can be installed on a stand on the ground, against a wall and LG even offers wall mounting. Free-standing or floating shelves can slide onto one or both sides of the display.
The fact that it can switch between two modes encourages them to be placed in the middle of the room, especially since it works wirelessly. In fact, the connectivity is remote in the Zero Connect box and the television only needs an electrical outlet nearby.
60,000 dollars and soon available in Europe
LG is not content with exhibiting its OLED TV at trade shows and has decided to market it internationally. The company announces a launch in South America with pre-orders in the United States priced at $59,999.
An impressive Price which targets the television at a very wealthy clientele interested in new technologies. LG says its wireless and transparent OLED TV will next arrive in Europe, South Korea and other regions around the world.
