The best Cyber Monday streaming deals are here, and unfortunately, there’s no Peacock deal to be found. However, there is a way to score Peacock Premium free through Walmart Plus, and it’s one of the best streaming deals out there right now.
If you’ve never heard of Walmart Plus, it’s similar to Amazon Prime. It’s a shopping subscription service that gives you some serious perks, including free delivery, gas savings and more. Like Prime, it also gives you a streaming service for free, but unlike Prime, it lets you choose from two services: Paramount Plus and Peacock.
Of course, you don’t have to choose Peacock Premium. You might decide that Walmart Plus is a great bargain, but that you’d rather have Paramount Plus Essential. Here’s the breakdown on which of the two streaming services you should pick.
Get Peacock Premium if:
- You care about live sports: Sunday Night Football and Premier League are streamed on Peacock. Not to say there aren’t streamed sports on Paramount Plus, but the big ones are on here.
- You have comfort shows/movies you binge watch: I’m guilty of having the same rotation of shows and films to go back to, and Peacock has the better selection with “The Office” and “Modern Family,” alongside the “Harry Potter” films every now and again.
- You like a regularly updating slate of originals: No doubt you’ve been advertised “Wicked 2” at least somewhere (it feels like it’s everywhere). This is coming next year as part of an ever growing list of Peacock exclusives like “All Her Fault,” “The Day of the Jackal,” and “Twisted Metal.”
Get Paramount Plus if:
- Paramount brands are an important part of your watching library: From CBS and MTV, to Nickelodeon and Comedy Central, Paramount’s fingers cover a whole lot of hit shows like “SpongeBob Squarepants,” “South Park” and “Star Trek.” Nostalgia is the name of the game.
- You want first dibs on some major movies: Big Paramount releases like “Gladiator II” and “Top Gun: Maverick” were dropped on the platform soon after release.
- NFL is a big focus for you: CBS Sports is in its 66th year of NFL coverage, and you get to stream live feeds of these games through Paramount Plus.
Whichever way you choose, this deal is a must-get for those who regularly shop at Walmart. In addition to the free streaming service (you can switch services every 90 days), you get free pharmacy delivery, free grocery delivery, the ability to send returns back from the comfort of your own home and save money at over 13,000 gas stations across the U.S. At that point, getting Paramount Plus or Peacock thrown in for free is just the cherry on top.
