LOWE’S has been blasted on social media for an order mix-up – which saw one customer’s $3,500 sliding glass door installed backwards.
Karee Pollock took to X to share the complaint on Thursday, which saw Lowe’s order the wrong replacement door to fix their backwards mistake.
The issue is yet to be fixed after three weeks of annoying waiting for Karee.
The post reads: “I ordered a sliding glass door with installation by @Lowes at $3,500.
“They installed it backwards. That was Dec 4th.
“When I asked them to fix this issue, they agreed and said replacement door was ordered.
“Received a call 12/20, that they AGAIN ordered the wrong door.
“But don’t worry, they will order correct door.
“Today, 12/26, I spoke with customer service.
“THEY HAVE NOT ORDERED SAID DOOR but will send a message asking to order.
“Do not go to Lowe’s for installation of anything.”
Lowe’s responded to the issue, saying: “Thanks for reaching out, Karee.
“We’re sorry for this experience.
“Please DM us the name on the order, phone number, email, order number, and store location (if purchased in-store) so our team can further review.”
CHECKOUT RAGE
The US Sun has reported recently on more Lowe’s trouble.
A Lowe’s shopper couldn’t hide his rage after encountering problems when trying to buy items.
The customer was so incensed that he launched a boycott following his horror in-store experience at the warehouse.
Todd Yancey said he walked out and claimed to have left $1,000 worth of products behind, according to an X post.
He claimed that a worker told him there were no cashiers free.
But then Todd claimed he couldn’t pay for his items with cash.
That proved to be the final straw.
MYLOWE’S REWARDS TIERS EXPLAINED
Here are the tiers included in the Lowe’s rewards program:
- Bronze Key: Earns 1 point per dollar spent and offers free standard shipping on eligible purchases of $35 or more.
- Silver Key: Earns 1.25 points per dollar and includes free standard shipping on eligible items with no minimum purchase required.
- Gold Key: Earns 1.5 points per dollar and provides free standard shipping on eligible items with no purchase minimum.
“I walked out and left $1,000 worth of stuff right at the register,” he said.
“What a joke.”
Todd then scoffed he was going to Menards – a chain with more than 300 stores in several states across the US.
The U.S. Sun has approached Lowe’s for comment regarding its payment policy.
It’s not uncommon for retailers not to allow self-checkout users to pay for items by cash.
