Lynk & Co’s upcoming full-size sports utility vehicle, the 900, will become the world’s first car model powered by NVIDIA’s next-generation centralized computer for autonomous driving and in-car infotainment, Zeekr Group, the new parent company of the Chinese car brand announced on Feb. 14. The comments were delivered on the same day when Zeekr, an electric vehicle maker created by Chinese automaker Geely, said it has acquired a controlling stake in sister brand Lynk & Co, formerly co-owned by Geely and Volvo, making them a unified sales company. The Lynk & Co 900, the largest-ever model under the brand, is scheduled for launch in the second quarter of this year, and will contribute to the company’s annual goal of selling 390,000 cars this year, which would be a 36.7% increase from last year. The Zeekr Group aims to sell 710,000 cars in total this year and has set an ambitious target of selling 1 million luxury vehicles annually by the end of 2026.
