POLICE are investigating a mass stabbing that occurred on Thursday afternoon.
The stabbing forced the closure of several main roads in the Washington, DC, area.

Washington DC police confirmed to The U.S. Sun that first responders are on the scene and multiple victims are involved in the incident.
“We have units on the scene of a stabbing incident involving multiple victims,” police confirmed.
A post on X by the DC Police Department alerted followers of a “stabbing investigation” that’s taking place Montello Avenue and Simms Place NE.
The amount of victims injured is still unknown, but several people were reportedly taken to the hospital, according to local ABC affiliate WJLA.
All of the victims are adults, with no juveniles having gotten injured.
Police said they have one person in custody as of 4:15 pm.
Live footage from the crime scene shows caution tape lining the street with police officers crowding the area.
