Meet the Writer: How Samiran Mondal Writes About AI Threats, Crypto Markets, and the Future of Cyber | HackerNoon
SHARE

My name is Samiran Mondal, and I work in the digital media and PR industry, focusing mainly on technology, AI, cybersecurity, and cryptocurrency topics. I’m also the founder of a PR and media distribution platform that helps startups and tech companies gain visibility through global publications.

Beyond work, I enjoy exploring emerging technologies, following the evolution of the crypto ecosystem, and understanding how artificial intelligence is reshaping industries. Writing allows me to translate complex technical developments into stories that everyday readers can understand.

Interesting! What was your latest HackerNoon Top story about?

My latest story explored how AI-generated malware is evolving into one of the biggest cybersecurity threats of the coming years.

Unlike traditional malware, AI-driven attacks can rewrite their own code, change behavior, and evade detection systems. The article focused on how this shift could transform the cybersecurity landscape and why organizations need AI-based defenses to keep up.

Do you usually write on similar topics? If not, what do you usually write about?

Yes, most of my writing focuses on technology trends that impact the future of digital systems.

My main topics include:

  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Cybersecurity threats and defense
  • Cryptocurrency markets and blockchain technology
  • DeFi vulnerabilities and exploits
  • The intersection of technology, finance, and global digital infrastructure

I enjoy writing about developments that sit at the intersection of innovation and risk, because those stories often shape the next phase of the internet.

Great! What is your usual writing routine like?

I usually start by tracking breaking news and research reports from the tech and cybersecurity space. If something stands out, I dig deeper into the technical details and try to understand the broader impact.

Once I have the core idea, I structure the story around clear explanations and real-world implications. My goal is always to make complex topics accessible without losing the technical accuracy behind them.

Being a writer in tech can be a challenge. What is the biggest challenge you have when it comes to writing?

One of the biggest challenges is keeping up with how quickly technology evolves.

In fields like AI and cybersecurity, discoveries, vulnerabilities, and tools appear almost every week. Writing about these topics requires constant learning and verifying information before sharing it with readers.

Another challenge is simplifying complex technical issues without oversimplifying them.

What is the next thing you hope to achieve in your career?

I hope to continue expanding my work at the intersection of technology journalism and media distribution, helping innovative companies share their stories with a global audience.

At the same time, I want to keep contributing to platforms like HackerNoon and explore deeper reporting on AI security, blockchain infrastructure, and emerging digital economies.

Now, something more casual: What is your guilty pleasure of choice?

Probably spending hours reading about new tech breakthroughs or unusual cybersecurity incidents late at night. It’s one of those habits that starts as “just one article” and turns into a deep dive into an entire topic.

Do you have a non-tech-related hobby?

Yes. Outside of technology, I enjoy photography and exploring local culture. Capturing moments through photography helps me disconnect from the fast pace of the tech world for a while.

What can the HackerNoon community expect to read from you next?

I’m currently exploring topics related to:

  • AI-powered cyber attacks
  • Future trends in cryptocurrency adoption
  • Security vulnerabilities in DeFi protocols
  • How AI is reshaping digital infrastructure

So readers can expect more stories about where technology innovation meets real-world impact.

What’s your opinion on HackerNoon as a platform for writers?

HackerNoon is a unique platform because it allows independent voices to contribute to important technology conversations. It’s a place where developers, researchers, and analysts can share insights that might not appear in traditional media outlets.

The community-driven approach also makes the discussions more diverse and interesting.

Closing words

Technology is moving faster than ever, and understanding it is becoming increasingly important for everyone — not just engineers or developers.

Writing is one way to bridge that gap, and platforms like HackerNoon help make those conversations accessible to a global audience.

Thanks for the opportunity to be part of the community.
