The internet is not a safe place, and we can’t deny the fact that with the rise of digital connection, the safety of women, kids, and any individual human being has been compromised. With this keeping in mind, Meta has introduced a new account feature on its social media platform, Instagram. In order to mark the Safer Internet Day, the tech giant announced Instagram Teen Accounts in India. This add-on account will ensure the protections for teens and will also assure parents that their kids are safe.
Natasha Jog, Director of Public Policy India, Instagram, says, “At Meta, creating a safer and more responsible digital environment is a top priority. With the expansion of Instagram Teen Accounts to India, we are strengthening protections, enhancing content controls, and empowering parents while ensuring a safer experience for teens.”
