The Los Angeles Dodgers are still in control of the NLCS, but that control is a bit tenuous. The bats for the New York Mets woke up in a big way in a 12-6 win in Game 5 to extend the series. The Dodgers can still clinch the series with a win in Sunday’s Game 6, but the Mets now have a chance to force a decisive Game 7.
Sean Manaea is set to start for the Mets, and Manaea already has a win in Dodger Stadium this series. The 32-year-old left-hander gave up three runs, two earned, in five innings in the Game 2. Manaea has a 2.65 ERA in three starts this postseason.
The Dodgers are set to throw their bullpen at the Mets but are still favored to win Game 6. Jack Flaherty got rocked in Friday’s Game 5, but the Dodgers still have four shutouts in 10 playoff games.
Mookie Betts stayed hot with a home run in Game 5, and Shohei Ohtani had a multi-hit night. No one would be surprised to see those two play a crucial role in Game 6.
The Mets’ offense has to feel much better after breaking out early on Friday. Francisco Lindor and Pete Alonso both had multi-hit nights, and Alonso blasted his fourth home run of the season.
Here’s a look at the odds and projections from The Bat X for Sunday’s NLCS Game 6.

MLB game projections from THE BAT X
In the tables below, you’ll see details for each MLB matchup, then a lot of numbers (which are updated all day):
- “Moneyline” shows each team’s odds on BetMGM.
- “Implied Win%” is the chance a team has to win based on those BetMGM odds.
- “THE BAT X win%” is the chance a team has to win based on EV Analytics’ projections.
- “Cash Line” is how THE BAT X would price each team’s odds.
- “Value” is the percentage difference between the odds chances and our projections.
The higher the value percentage, the better — which you can easily see from the color coding from red (bad pick) through to green (good pick).
Note: On mobile, you may have to scroll to see the color-coded “Value” column on the far right of the first set of tables.
Another note: If you’re seeing old data or the tables aren’t showing up, you may need to “hard refresh” this page, or you may have an ad blocker or other software blocking the tables from loading.
