Microsoft and Veeam Software have expanded their collaborationthrough a Agreement that implies a capital investment by Microsoft in Veeam that aims to promote the development of AI solutions that improve data resilience. The concrete amount they have contributed to the collaboration of Redmond is unknown.

As the agreement establishes, Veeam will focus on R&D investments, experience in architecture and collaboration in design. The company will integrate Microsoft’s services, including automatic learning to improve Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365 and Veeam Data Cloud Vault. In addition, it will have new Id Solutions, created to strengthen the security and resilience of cloud identity.

Veeam’s integration with Microsoft AI will help companies and organizations detect suspicious activities before they climb, as well as identify backup vulnerabilities that need attention. In addition, it will allow automating compliance and recovery reports, and accelerate data restoration and recovery after a disaster or security incident.

To Anand Eswaran, CEO De Veeam Softwarethis agreement emphasizes that «in A world in which cyberamezas and the dynamic nature of the cloud are constant, the resilience of the data is no longer optional: it is a critical mission. By joining forces with Microsoft, we are carrying the intelligence driven by AI to 550,000 clients and most of the companies of Fortune 500 and Global 2000, allowing them to protect, detect and recover faster than ever ».

As to Jason Graefe, corporate vice president of ISVS and Microsoft digital nativesstressed that «the Ia is transforming all aspects of the business. By integrating Microsoft AI with the leaders of leading data resilience in the Veeam market, we are helping customers not only protect their critical data, but also to unlock new perspectives and efficiencies through Microsoft 365 and Azure ».
