Chinese game developer miHoYo on Friday announced that several criminal groups involved in the game leakage case have been detained by the police, with some facing administrative penalties. The company has also taken strict legal action against over 200 individuals who maliciously distributed leaked content, securing public apologies from the infringers. The highest compensation imposed on a single infringer has reached RMB 550,000 ($75,820). miHoYo said it will continue to take global action against all forms of infringement, fully committed to safeguarding users’ legal rights. The company also encourages users to actively share leads on infringements to help combat these violations. [miHoYo, in Chinese]
