AMAZON Prime subscribers don’t have long left to claim a bunch of freebies on their account worth over £169.

The online retailer has a number of bonus perks available as part of the subscription service, which are often forgotten.

This includes free takeaway deliveries with Deliveroo, unlimited photo back-up for your phone and a cinema ticket discount for Odeon.

But another extra many forget is games.

Amazon gives users access to an evolving list of big name titles every month via its cloud gaming platform Luna.

Because it’s cloud-based users can play video games over the internet rather than using a physical console.

So all you need is the Luna app and a joypad to connect to your telly.

Amazon does sell a Luna joypad but you’re able to use an Xbox or PlayStation gamepad instead if you already own one.

Amazon Prime members can access more than 50 titles free of charge after a major overhaul to the service earlier this year.

As part of the evolving library of titles, seven are expected to leave the Luna Standard tier in January.

So now is your final chance to get hold of them if you haven’t already.

The list includes popular titles such as Borderlands 3, which normally retails at £49.99 on the Steam PC gaming store during non promotion periods.

Borderlands 3 and Farming Simulator 22 (worth £17.45) are the first to leave Luna Standard on January 1.

Then a few days later on January 4 Guacamelee! 2 – worth £16.75 – follows suit.

Later in January, Sonic Mania (RRP £14.99) will depart on the 21st.

On January 25, Moving Out (RRP £19.99) also leaves.

And finally, on January 26 Dishonored 2 and The Evil Within 2 – both worth £24.99 each – will bow out.

Amazon is yet to announce what new titles will join to fill the gap but we’re sure to find out early in January, so keep your eyes peeled for announcements.

WHAT DEVICES SUPPORT LUNA?

Here’s the official explanation from Amazon…

“Players can access Luna across a host of devices they may already own, such as Amazon Fire TV and Fire Tablet devices, select Samsung and LG smart TVs, mobile devices (iOS and Android), desktop devices (PCs, MacBooks, Chromebooks), and more,” Amazon said.

“Additionally, you can easily pair supported Bluetooth controllers or purchase a Luna Controller.

“GameNight titles are also played with simple touch controls on players’ mobile devices.

“Simply scan the QR code on your TV display when prompted and players can interact with the game via simple touch controls displayed on their phones’ web browser.

“The touch inputs for Game Night titles are specifically designed to enable simple controls that anyone can understand, irrespective of their gaming experience.”
