Mir 2.21 is out today for this Ubuntu/Canonical project to serve as a set of libraries used to simplify the development of Wayland-based shells/environments.
With today’s Mir 2.21 release there is now cursor scaling support, support for mouse keys is added to Mir, new configuration options, updates around different Wayland extensions, and also some bug fixes. The Mir 2.21 highlights include:
– Cursor Scaling Support
– Implement mousekeys
– Add key repeat rate/delay config options and properly merge config settings
– feature: add the ability to associate a layout with custom user data
– static_display_config: add display properties to output
– feature: implement xdg toplevel tiled states
– Update of core wayland extensions
– feature: refactor BasicSurface so that it can be used internally by shell authors
– Check DRM for supported formats
– Add an output filter for the purposes of accessibility
