The MSI MS-C910E Edge AI Box is the new equipment developed by the industrial PC division of the Taiwanese firm. Combines high performance, flexible expansion, compact size and robust design in one system. Perimetral IA for use by system integrators, machine builders and industrial users for smart manufacturing, automated inspection and AIoT applications.
The new MSI compact is presented in a robust and resistant casingwith an anti-vibration system, shockproof and developed in a particular format, apparently derived from the ITX, but with enough capacity for three PCIe expansion cards.
Integrates an Intel R680E motherboard with LGA 1700 socket, compatible with I processors12th, 13th, and 14th Generation Intel Core. The processor can be complemented by up to 96GB of DDR5-5600 RAM via two SO-DIMM slots with ECC support, and storage combines an M.2 NVMe/SATA SSD slot with two 2.5-inch SATA drive bays. It also has PCIe 4.0 X16, X8 and X1 slots, allowing you to equip the system with desktop-level graphics.
Port selection is adapted to industrial use cases and features 8 10Gbps USB-A ports, 4 COM ports, 4 2.5GbE NICs, 2 HDMI video outputs + 2 DisplayPort video outputs, dual audio connectors and 8-bit/5-35V/1.3KV isolation GPIO connectors. The compact and scalable case also includes a front smart fan, plus support for 6 additional fans on the top and on the left and right sides. The case measures 285 X 217 x 431.1 mm and the basic system weighs about 11 kg.
MSI suggests quite a few industrial applications for this system, including:
- Smart manufacturing and production automation.
- Traffic management, automated tolling systems, road condition analyzer and signaling systems powered by AI.
- IoT central gateway for sensor data collection and cloud communication.
- Security monitoring, intrusion detection and access point management.
- Renewable energy parks and control of power plants.
- Warehouse and logistics automation.
The MSI MS-C910E Edge AI Box is available on the manufacturer’s web portal and on the specialized channel. While traditional industrial PCs often lack the processing power or network bandwidth required for modern edge AI workloads, this MSI machine combines high performance, expansion flexibility and robustness in a compact edge AI system.
