SKY’S beloved Santa tracker has returned to TV screens for the 2025 festive season.
It’s available for free on millions of devices – and there are some specific times you’ll want to tune in for treats.
WHAT IS THE SKY SANTA TRACKER?
Santa doesn’t drop all of his presents off at once.
Father Christmas and his reindeer have to make their way all around the world, crossing continents and timezones.
And that means you can track his sleigh in real-time as it soars across the night sky.
Santa hasn’t set off just yet, so Sky has kicked things off with a Christmas tracker countdown charting the wait until he departs from the North Pole.

WHEN DOES THE SKY SANTA TRACKER START?
It’ll kick off properly on Christmas Eve at 10am UK time, which is when Santa “begins his epic journey across the globe, delivering joy and presents galore”, Sky says.
And his sleigh ride will wrap up on Christmas Day at 11am UK time, the TV giant notes.
If you want to catch specific Santa drop-off points, Sky has helpfully provided a list of times that you might want to tune in.
And you can even catch his departure from (and arrival to) Santa’s Village at the North Pole.

HOW TO FIND SKY’S SANTA TRACKER
There are several ways to track down Santa on your Sky telly.
You can find it inside the Apps section of your Sky Menu.
Or you can use the voice search feature on your TV remote.
Just say something like “Where’s Santa?” or “Where’s Father Christmas?” and the tracker should appear.
If you want to be creative, there’s a long list of commands that work, so you could try a new one each day:
- Where’s Santa?
- Where’s Santa Claus?
- Where’s Father Christmas?
- Where’s Kris Kringle?
- Santa Tracker
- Where’s Santa Tracker?
- Where is Santa right now?
- Follow Santa
- Is Santa coming tonight?
Just note that it’ll stay on a countdown until 10am on Christmas Eve, which is when the magic begins.
