Tech billionaire Elon Musk shared drug test results on Tuesday showing that he tested negative for ketamine after The New York Times reported he was using drugs on the 2024 campaign trail.

The Tesla CEO shared a picture of the test results, which showed negative results for several other drugs, on the social media platform X, simply captioning the post, “lol.”

Musk continued his criticism of the Times and the Wall Street Journal, which reported last month that Tesla’s board began looking for a new CEO, though the Tesla chair denied the claim. The Journal reported in January 2024 about Musk’s reported drug use as well.

“I hereby challenge the NYT and WSJ to take drug tests and publish the results!” he wrote in another post, suggesting the Times staff take a drug test. “They won’t, because those hypocrites are guilty as sin.”

He also shared a photo of the Wall Street Journal logo, using the letters “WSJ” to instead say “We suck at journalism.”

“Their new name is perfect,” Musk wrote.

His posts come weeks after the Times article was published, reporting that the Tesla CEO was using ketamine and other drugs while campaigning with President Trump. The Times reported that Musk told people he used ketamine so often that it was impacting his bladder, and that he was using psychedelic mushrooms and taking ecstasy.

The Times also reported that Musk would travel every day with a box containing 20 pills, citing individuals who have seen the box and the photo of it. Some of the pills were marked as Adderall.

But Musk immediately shut down the claims in May, saying the publication was “lying their a‑‑ off.”

“To be clear, I am NOT taking drugs! The New York Times was lying their a‑‑ off,” Musk wrote in a post on X after the report was published. “I tried *prescription* ketamine a few years ago and said so on X, so this not even news. It helps for getting out of dark mental holes, but haven’t taken it since then.”

Musk left the White House last month after serving as an adviser to Trump and helping create the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
