Honor, a Chinese smartphone maker, introduced its “Robot Phone” ahead of MWC 2026, positioning the device as the first product under its new Alpha strategy. The smartphone features a motorized rotating flip camera, a 4DoF gimbal module reduced in size by 70%, a 200-megapixel sensor, and support for three-axis stabilization and AI-powered tracking.
CEO Li Jian said the device is designed to give smartphones both a “brain” and “limbs,” enabling embodied interactions. Honor said the phone supports gesture-based movements, music-synced motion, and full-scenario video calling capabilities. The product is expected to launch in the second half of the year.
