NetEase said reports that it plans to replace all outsourced workers with AI are untrue. The company said recent personnel changes stem from routine business adjustments and staff turnover across certain projects, including the optimization of some outsourced roles involving basic skill sets, as part of normal operations. The adjustments will not affect overall operations or the normal functioning of its business units. While AI has been deployed in some business scenarios, the technology cannot fully replace roles requiring complex execution and human judgment. [IThome, in Chinese]
