Those all-too-cozy days between the Christmas holiday and New Year’s Day are meant for curling up on the couch and catching up on what the best streaming services have to offer. With so much choice, however, narrowing things down to just one title can be daunting, especially with Netflix adding a whopping 43 new shows and movies to its already sprawling streaming library this month.

To help you find that next fab flick to add to your yuletide couch-rotting session (guilty!), we first turned to Netflix’s top 10 list of most-watched movies to see what other streaming audiences are tuning into around the country. Then we focus things even further to a quality trio of titles that are actually worth your watch.

This week, that includes a sweet and sappy holiday dramedy directed by Oscar winner Kate Winslet, a star-studded survivalist thriller led by Jude Law, Ana de Armas and Sydney Sweeney, and a still-thriving K-pop phenomenon. (Need even more streaming inspiration? Our guide to everything new on Netflix this month is packed with recommendations.) Here are the three must-watch movies in Netflix’s top 10 this weekend. Enjoy!

Few things are as relatable as familial messiness set over the holidays, and you’ll certainly find that in the bittersweet new Christmas dramedy “Goodbye June,” starring and directed by Kate Winslet in her filmmaking debut.

Working off a script written by her own son Joe Anders, Winslet puts together a starry ensemble — including Toni Collette, Johnny Flynn, Andrea Riseborough, Timothy Spall, Stephen Merchant and Dame Helen Mirren as the titular June — to play a family reeling when the health of one of their own takes a turn for the worse over the Christmas season.

‘Eden’ (2024)

Directed by Ron Howard, this historical survivalist thriller tells the shocking true story of a group of European settlers — played by an all-star cast including Jude Law, Ana de Armas, Vanessa Kirby, Daniel Brühl and Sydney Sweeney — who flee pre-World War II Germany for the isolated Floreana Island, in Ecuador’s Galápagos Islands. However, upon their arrival in the tropics, they soon harshly discover that the greatest threat to their survival isn’t the brutal climate or deadly wildlife, but each other.

“There are erotic shenanigans galore, and as the tension mounts, harrowing acts of violence,” wrote critic Glenn Kenney of The New York Times. “It’s a little surprising that these proceedings are led by the director Ron Howard, since this subject matter is more perverse than anything he has set his sights on before. The actors are up to the task, however.”

‘K-Pop Demon Hunters’ (2025)

2025 will undoubtedly be remembered as the year that “K-Pop Demon Hunters” took over the pop-cultural landscape. And though Netflix’s biggest streaming hit of all time may have fallen from the #1 spot, the animated phenomenon is clearly still a viewership juggernaut for the platform, hanging strong in the top 10 even now, months after its release.

From the team behind the “Spider-Verse” films comes the vibrant and visually arresting story of three K-pop stars, Rumi (Arden Cho), Mira (May Hong), and Zoey (Ji-young Yoo), who moonlight as demon hunters shielding the world from supernatural evils with their harmony. They’re forced to face off against a rival boy band, the Saja Boys, whose members are secretly demons, to save the world in between entertaining the masses.
