Golden is the first wideout drafted in the first round by the Packers since 2002.
The 21-year-old has signed a $4.4million deal in Green Bay after a superb season with the Longhorns.
And he plans to use his new-found fame – and bulging bank balance – to purchase a property in Houston that once belong to his grandmother.
“Definitely get my grandma a house, man,” he told On3 after being asked what he would do with his signing bonus.
“We lost our property a couple of years ago.
“That’s somewhere I grew up when I was younger and it would be a blessing to get that back for my family.
“I always told myself that I wanted to do that, and now I’m in a position to do it.
“So if it’s bound to happen, I’m gonna make it happen.”
The property, which is currently for sale, holds memories not just for Golden but for generations of his family.
He added: “I go back to look at it every time.
“I actually had a camp last week for some kids back at home.
“I drive down that road. That’s where I grew up.”
Golden enjoyed a superb senior year in which he caught 58 passes for 987 yards and nine touchdowns.
