We may finally have a launch date for the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge. The fourth member of the Galaxy S25 series could get a US rollout on May 30, according to Korean outlet FN News.
After being teased at the Galaxy Unpacked event in January, the S25 Edge may be officially unveiled on May 13, the report adds. Preorders in Korea and China are likely to begin on May 14, followed by an official launch on May 23. It’ll then arrive in the US on May 30.
The S25 Edge promises to be Samsung’s thinnest phone yet. When Samsung teased the device earlier this year, it didn’t reveal the specs, price, and launch date. The device was rumored to get an April release, but that was pushed back due to political unrest in South Korea.

According to FN News, the thickness of the S25 Edge could be anywhere between 5.8 and 6.4 mm. It could get a 200MP primary camera and a 6.7-inch display. To achieve the slimness, the report says Samsung has ditched the telephoto lens.
The expected price tag for the 256GB and 512GB variants is 1.5 million won and 1.63 million won, respectively. That translates to $1,045 and $1,135, putting the S25 Edge between the S25 Plus ($1,000) and the S25 Ultra ($1,300). However, the tariff situation could force US customers to shell out more.

The S25 Edge is viewed as a competitor to Apple’s rumored iPhone 17 Air. The upcoming iPhone could be 6.25mm thick and overtake the iPhone 6 (6.9mm) as the thinnest iPhone ever.
According to FN News, Samsung has rushed the release of the S25 Edge to hit the market before Apple does. The Cupertino company will host its annual WWDC event from June 9-13. Though it is usually about OS updates, Apple has surprised us a few times with product launches—most recently, in 2023, with a first look at the Vision Pro.
