BARCELONA—Nothing took advantage of the media’s presence at MWC to generate buzz for its upcoming launch. The Nothing Phone 4a will be the fourth version of the company’s mid-range product. After teasing its arrival earlier this month, it showed off the four colorways so everyone could get a first look.

The phone will come in four colors: black, white, pink, and blue. The phone carries forward the company’s exposed industrial design, with components visible on the rear panel. Nothing has sold its “a” devices in the US, though only in a roundabout way that involves signing up for the company’s developer beta program. The Nothing Phone 3a and Phone 3a Pro have been in the market for about a year.

We don’t know too much about the 4a phone. It’s expected to have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s processor, likely with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. What’s most unclear is whether the phone will rely on the company’s Glyph UI, which uses a series of light patterns on the rear panel to display notifications. There don’t appear to be lights on the rear of the units we saw in Barcelona, but they could still be there.

Nothing will fully reveal the Nothing Phone 4a and hopefully the Nothing Phone 4a Pro on March 5 in London. PCMag will be there to bring you the news as it happens.
