NVIDIA today released a new version of their R575 series stable Linux driver to provide a few additional fixes for customers.
The new NVIDIA 575.64 stable Linux driver isn’t particularly exciting unless you were affected by the three reported bugs that are now corrected by this update. The NVIDIA 575.64 Linux driver fixes issues with kernel use-after-free behavior on pre-Turing GPUs, blank rendering for some applications under XWayland, and 32-bit x86 applications to crash in some configurations.
– Fixed a bug that could cause blank rendering on some single-buffered GLX applications when running on Xwayland.
– Fixed a bug that could cause a kernel use-after-free on pre-Turing GPUs.
– Fixed a bug that could cause 32-bit x86 applications running on recent builds of glibc to crash on dlopen().
