NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang said Friday that it is indeed possible the firm could introduce its advanced Blackwell GPUs to China. Discussions are ongoing with the US government regarding export licenses, arguing that widespread adoption of US technology would help the country win the global AI race, according to Huang. NVIDIA has already developed the B30, a custom AI chip based on the Blackwell architecture for the Chinese market, offering around 80% of the performance of its flagship Blackwell GPUs. China is the world’s second-largest AI market, and that competitive products could generate as much as $50 billion in revenue for NVIDIA from China this year, Huang said. [Icsmart, in Chinese]
