NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang said in an interview in Taiwan that to support what he described as the largest infrastructure investment in human history, TSMC will need to double its chip production capacity over the next decade. He added that NVIDIA’s demand alone for advanced process nodes would be sufficient to drive TSMC’s capacity expansion by more than 100%. NVIDIA has now become TSMC’s largest customer and was among the first to adopt its A16 process node. TSMC has already launched a global expansion plan, including a $250 billion investment in the US to build a complete supply chain, covering advanced packaging facilities and R&D centers.
