GPU buyers, get ready for another product launch. Nvidia will start selling the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti on Feb. 20.
Following leaks that also mentioned the Feb. 20 date, Nvidia confirmed the launch in a tweet that says sales start at 6 a.m. PST that day. This time, however, there won’t be a Founders Edition model—only cards from third-party partners, Nvidia tells PCMag.

Unfortunately, Nvidia also updated its website to say it’s launching the RTX 5070 on March 5 rather than releasing it this month as it previously indicated. However, Nvidia reiterated that the 5070 will launch with a Founders Edition.
The GeForce RTX 5070 Ti is slated to start at $749, while the RTX 5070 will arrive for $549 and up, making them more affordable options for this GPU generation. But so far, the RTX 5000 series has faced severe shortages, with the currently available models, the 5080 and 5090, already out of stock at retailers.
Supplies have been so bad that some retailers, including Micro Center stores and Central Computers in the San Francisco Bay Area, have only received a few dozen units, with inventory especially thin for the RTX 5090. Electronics industry analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has since tweeted: “chip supply constraints are causing shortages.”

“Supply issues will likely push back mass production of the RTX 5070/5060 from the original Feb/Mar to Mar/Apr. Limited supply means these two cards will sell out instantly even if production stays on schedule,” he added.
The other issue is Trump’s new 10% tariffs on Chinese goods. Newegg has blamed them for increasing prices on Nvidia’s RTX 5080 and 5090 cards. So GPU buyers should brace for a tough market, at least in the short term.
