All you have to do to enjoy the deal is say a specific thing at the register – find out what it is.

The secret was revealed on TikTok at the beginning of March, and only takes a few short steps that will save you money.
If you use the clothes tag at Old Navy, you will find a six-digit code on it.
Searching it up on the website, which usually comes up with four numbers, it will show the item.
Then, once you find the right color, if the online price is cheaper than the in-store one, you are automatically given the cheaper price.
You can show the employee at the cash register, and this specific person ended up saving $10.
FAN REACTION
Fans in the comments praised the find and some even said that they were already familiar with it.
There was also the suggestion that other stores do this, too.
One person said: “I use the app and it has a barcode scanner in the search area!
“I always check the prices with that and it’s so fast.”
Another wrote: “I do this for target and Walmart too.
“I got pants at target that were ringing up for $22 but were $9.60 on the app and they were price matched.
“Walmart is more difficult sometimes w/ price matching.”
And a third said: “This made me want to go to old navy.”
But one Old Navy employee did explain a bit more about what is and isn’t allowed.
They added: “As an old navy employee we cannot price match online exclusive deals.
How to compare prices to get the best deal
JUST because something is on offer, or is part of a sale, it doesn’t mean it’s always a good deal.
There are plenty of comparison websites out there that’ll check prices for you – so don’t be left paying more than you have to.
Most of them work by comparing the prices across hundreds of retailers.
Here are some ones you can use:
- Google Shopping is a tool that lets users search for and compare prices for products across the web. Simply type in keywords, or a product number, to bring up search results.
- CamelCamelCamel only works on goods being sold on Amazon. To use it, type in the URL of the product you want to check the price of.
- Honey is a price comparison tool that lets you compare prices through your browser. It can also find coupons and codes for saving money on items you’re looking at.
“The company watches what we are discounting and why. We can get fired.”
This suggests that there are some items with which this price hack won’t work.
This notion was confirmed by a separate social media user who confessed that her local Old Navy doesn’t actually do this.
She commented: “My old navy workers won’t price match even though it’s in their policy, so I just got try stuff on and order for same day pick up.”
It is therefore unknown if this hack is a store-wide policy, or if different chains operate differently.
