Chinese tennis player Zheng Qinwen is seemingly set to become a brand ambassador for Audi in China, after the German luxury car brand recently published a teaser trailer saying that a female who made gold medal history at Roland-Garros Stadium will represent it. The video, released on Nov. 7 on Chinese microblogging platform Weibo, added that its new brand ambassador will appear at the company’s booth at the upcoming Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition this Friday, with a voiceover from a female sounding like Zheng. On the same day, the premium marque owned by Germany’s Volkswagen launched a new electric vehicle brand exclusively for China with a concept car that carried the name Audi on the body rather than its signature four-ring logo, as the auto giant hopes to attract younger Chinese customers.
