Google has arguably set the pace when it comes to smartphone innovation, and this is your chance to get a flagship device on the cheap.

You can get a slick $300 discount on the ultra premium Google Pixel 9 Pro. While very few people (myself included) can afford to spend $999 on a smartphone, that same tech is now accessible for just $699.

With an Obsidian coloured finish and 128GB of built-in storage, the Pixel 9 Pro gives off an almost understated feeling of premium-ness, as if Google just knows that the device can speak for itself without the need for extravagant exterior details.

Even though all that Google tech has come together to create an incredible phone, you might be wondering exactly how life with the Pixel 9 Pro plays out, so allow me to divulge my own experience.

For starters, the 6.3-inch Super Actua Display is a great screen to behold. Everything from social media posts to Prime Video and Netflix films are given a bit more of a cinematic quality thanks to this display. It really brings out more detail in whatever you might be watching, helping to elevate the experience beyond what you’d find on more budget devices.

Where the Pixel 9 Pro really excels, however, is in its triple rear camera system. Time and time again, Google’s phones have been able to take beautiful pictures that really capture the vibrancy of their scene, with a chance to prove me right, of course, with the level of intelligence so far.

The final major pillar on the Pixel 9 Pro is battery life. To Google’s credit, the phone easily lives up to the promise of 24 hours on a full charge. Admittedly, I do start to worry if I’m about 30% by the end of the day, but I’ve never found myself caught out, which is always reassuring.

With $300 off, the Google Pixel 9 Pro is already a steal at $699, but that price gets even better when you consider everything that the phone has to offer.
