If you’ve been waiting for the next big OnePlus flagship, you might not have to wait too long. According to leaks from reliable tipster Digital Chat Station, the OnePlus 15 is likely to launch in October 2025, around the same time its predecessor, the OnePlus 13, arrived last year in China. The Indian users will have to a bit longer!
Interestingly, OnePlus may also unveil the OnePlus Ace 6 alongside the 15 this time, instead of spacing them out like in previous years.
What to Expect From the OnePlus 15
Early rumours suggest that the OnePlus 15 will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip (possibly called Snapdragon 8 Elite 2), which is expected to be announced in September. The phone is also likely to feature a 6.78-inch OLED display, though it might stick with a 1.5K resolution instead of a full 2K panel.
There’s also talk of a big change — the iconic alert slider may be replaced by a Plus Key, a customisable button OnePlus introduced earlier on other devices. Some leaks also suggest the Hasselblad branding could be dropped from the camera system, but that’s still unconfirmed.
Along with it, the OnePlus Ace 6 is expected to launch at the same event. It may feature a slightly bigger 6.83-inch OLED screen and a different chip — possibly the Snapdragon 8s Gen 5, which hasn’t been officially revealed yet. This chip would place the Ace 6 just below the OnePlus 15 in performance, and could give the brand a strong play in the mid-premium segment.
What Happened to the OnePlus 14?
Still confused about the OnePlus 14? There might not be one at all! Rumours say OnePlus could be skipping the number 14 entirely, likely due to cultural reasons. This is so because in many East Asian countries, including China, the number four is considered unlucky. Skipping 14 would follow this logic. However, it must be noted that this is just based on rumours and OnePlus hasn’t officially confirmed the skip, but all signs point to the OnePlus 15 being the next major launch.
