UPDATE 12/4: Preorders for the OnePlus 15 are now open in the US. However, the phone’s release date appears to be a few weeks away. Those preordering today are getting estimated delivery dates of Dec. 24 or 26, depending on the shipping option chosen at checkout. So far, there has been no update on when the phone will be available from Amazon or Best Buy.
Original Story:
After a government shutdown-related delay, the OnePlus 15 has now been approved for sale in the US, where it will be available to preorder on Dec. 4.
OnePlus confirms that the FCC has certified the OnePlus 15 for use in the US. Preorders begin on Thursday at 11 a.m. ET. It hasn’t said when it will ship.
The OnePlus 15 was announced in November and went on sale immediately after launch in most markets. However, the 43-day government shutdown in the US led to a backlog at the FCC, prompting OnePlus to delay the phone’s US launch.
Those who preorder directly from OnePlus can claim a free gift, including a pair of OnePlus Buds Pro 3 headphones, a OnePlus-branded 50W magnetic charger, or a phone case. If you opt for the larger storage variant of the OnePlus 15, you can also claim a OnePlus Watch 3 43mm edition, which normally costs $299.99.
The OnePlus 15 starts at $899.99 for 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and jumps to $999.99 for 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The brand is offering trade-in deals to take up to $899 off the phone, as well as a $100 instant credit toward a OnePlus 15 if you trade in any phone in any condition.
Amazon and Best Buy will also stock the OnePlus 15, but neither has announced preorder plans.

The OnePlus 15 received a 4/5 rating in PCMag’s review, where we called it a “battery beast” and praised it for a “refreshingly affordable price.” The phone features a 7,300mAh battery, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, a 6.78-inch Full HD+ display, and the brand’s own take on Android 16 called OxygenOS 16.
OnePlus is set to announce three new devices on Dec. 17, the OnePlus 15R, Pad Go 2, and a European-exclusive Watch Lite.
