Opus (July 11)
John Malkovich is one of Hollywood’s most dependably odd actors, and the new A24 thriller Opus lets him get really weird with it. He plays reclusive pop star Alfred Moretti, who’s releasing his first album in 30 years. When a group of journalists and influencers come to his Utah compound for an exclusive listening party, they realize that Moretti is part of a cult looking to murder them all for their crimes against art. Fun!

Rage (Furia) (July 11)
Spanish-language drama Rage (Furia) follows an ensemble cast of five women through a variety of intense situations, from infidelity and poverty to murder. The social satire has violence and betrayal around every corner. Each episode is just 25 minutes long, with no wasted motion, and creator Félix Sabroso is already at work on a second season.
A Killer Among Friends: Season 1 (July 15)
Want to feel paranoid? New Investigation: Discovery series A Killer Among Friends spotlights true crime cases where people were murdered not by strangers, but by a close confidante. Episodes promise to cover the bizarre cases of football star Trent DiGuiro, high school actress Jessie Blodgett, and more. True crime podcast lovers will dig this one.
