The Artificial intelligence It has become a key pillar for companies to improve processes, gain efficiency and increase their productivity, and Oracle is aware that thanks to the AI agents It is possible to completely change the way of working and doing business, so it works so that this technology is integrated into all its business applications.
Last September, Oracle announced in its age CloudWorld held in Las Vegas the development of more than 50 AI agents Within your application suite Oracle Fusion Cloud. After more than three months, the “road map” is fulfilled and the more than 17,000 companies that are Oracle clients worldwide already enjoy the first AI agents that help them in work processes of areas such as finance, Supply chain, human resources, sales, marketing and service.
To know how Oracle helps its customers improve processes and increase their productivity with the use of AI agents, we have spoken with Alfonso CossíoDirector of the Oracle Application Business, and Oriol FarréSolution Engineering Director ERP, EPM & SCM de Oracle.
At the service of productivity
«Artificial intelligence is not new for Oracle. Since 2017 we incorporated in our database and is already embedded in all our products. This approach is not the result of chance, but of an innovation strategy guided by the needs of customers, as demonstrated by more than 80% of the new functionalities that we incorporate into our solutions are influenced by them and their specific demands, ” Alfonso Cossío states.
The new Oracle AI agents are designed to execute specific tasks within key departments such as finance, human resources, client’s supply chain or experience, and they are already impacting real companies: «Very recently we were with a Spanish retail company which is opening new points of sale. They asked us to analyze and optimize the distribution routes. His internal department made calculations with his own models, but with our AI agents we achieved an improvement of 5% in just one day. In a sector like logistics, where each optimization counts, that 5% is a significant improvement, ”explains Alfonso Cossío.
This example reflects the potential of AI agents to improve decision -making by analyzing large data volumes in real time. In addition, as Oriol Farré emphasizes, Oracle updates its cloud applications every 90 days to include new functionalities, also those based on AI: «Oracle designs, develops and makes available these agents without any cost for customers. There is no license, or infrastructure cost. Everything is included in the service ».

An accessible and safe AI
Another prominent point is the ability of AI agents to combine internal and external data without compromising security. This is possible thanks to the RAG technology (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), which allows the models to use information from the company without private data from their safe environment. As Alfonso Cossío recalls, “our AI agents can combine internal and external data, but always within a safe framework, without leaving the client controlled environment.”
Oriol Farré also stressed that the adoption of AI is not exclusive for large companies with internal development teams: «Companies that use Oracle Fusion do not need to make additional investments. They can consume these agents as is, without having to develop anything on their own. And for those who want personalized agents, Oracle offers the possibility of creating specific agents with the same technology we use.
An expanding ecosystem
Oracle not only bets on the development of their own AI agents, but also opens the door for other market protagonists to participate in their ecosystem. Consultants or companies specialized in human resources, for example, can develop their own agents adapted to specific needs.
Customers can create their own agents based on Oracle technology, taking advantage of their platform to develop personalized solutions without having to start from scratch. According to Oriol Farré, “many companies may cover 80-90% of their needs with Oracle agents, but they will also have the possibility of developing the remaining 10-20% to differentiate themselves in their sector.”
