Oracle consolidates its activity in Spain with the inauguration of its third cloud regiondesigned so that companies and institutions can access sooner and more closely to the company’s entire range of Artificial Intelligence solutions.
The announcement, made at an event in Madrid in which, along with other company executives, Albert Triolageneral director of Oracle Spain, arrives just days after the global event Oracle AI World held in Las Vegas, where the multinational’s latest developments in generative AI, business applications and advanced cloud were presented.
According to Albert Triola, “AI is changing everything; the way organizations of all types operate, the way business is done and the lives of citizens. Our integrated offering of AI services already covers the infrastructure layer, the data layer and the application layer. We believe that only in this way can we help clients get the most out of AI and transform their businesses.”
The new cloud region allows both infrastructure services (OCI, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) and its intelligent platforms and applications to be deployed locally and under the highest regulatory standards. It is equipped with the latest generation of NVIDIA GPUs to accelerate advanced AI loads, train its own models and support inferences with high performance requirements.
AI in the three technological layers
The deployment of the region coincides with the landing in Spain of many of the global innovations presented at Oracle AI World, which structure the business AI proposal on three complementary levels:
Infrastructure layer
The new Oracle AI Data Platform allows you to build, deploy and scale AI applications with secure, automated and governed data lifecycle, incorporating capabilities such as rich processing, automated pipelines and advanced analytics for massive datasets.
It adds up Autonomous AI Lakehouse (business analytics interoperable with hyperscalars) and Oracle Acceleronnew cloud network layer to accelerate data movement, reduce latency and strengthen security. For cases of maximum sovereignty, it stands out OCI Dedicated Region25which allows Oracle’s more than 200 cloud and AI services to be brought directly to the client’s private data center, guaranteeing a “public cloud” level with local regulatory compliance.
Data layer
Oracle AI Database 26ai It integrates native algorithms, vector search and reinforces protection with advanced encryption, all in multicloud and on-prem environments. In addition, the new Multicloud Universal Credits model makes resource consumption more flexible and allows Oracle Database and OCI to be operated from AWS, Azure, Google Cloud and Oracle Cloud interchangeably. Hyperscalar deals roll out with new joint regions and data and AI migration packages.
Application layer
Oracle Fusion Applications incorporates an AI Agent Marketplace, allowing clients to add and deploy specific agents validated by ISVs and partners for key processes (finance, supply chain, HR, customer experience, etc.). These agents range from anomaly detection to purchasing optimization, advanced planning, intelligent recruitment or personnel development.
He AI Agent Studio improves integration with large language models (OpenAI, Anthropic, Cohere, Google, Meta, xAI), prompt management, observability and multimodal processing (text, voice, image). All of this is integrated into a new AI-centric, customizable user experience that introduces intelligent search, proactive suggestions, and contextual chat across all business applications.
A boost to the Spanish digital ecosystem
The launch of the third cloud region represents a strategic leap for the Spanish market, guaranteeing local access with minimal latencies and full regulatory compatibility to all AI, analysis, critical data and SaaS applications services from Oracle and its ecosystem of partners.
Companies from all sectors, Public Administration and startups will be able to benefit from open multicloud infrastructures designed to accelerate the development of use cases based on AI, machine learning and data automation.
With this launch, Oracle aims to turn Spain into one of its key digital innovation hubs in Europe, attracting talent, investment and new projects for the next generation digital economy
