Oracle will lay off up to 30,000 workers to continue investing in AI

According to messages published by the employees themselves on various social networks, the layoffs entire teams have been wiped out in different areaslike Revenue and Health Sciences, SaaS and Virtual Operations Serviceswith employee reductions in certain departments of up to 30% of its members. They have also affected the departments of Sales, Cloud, NetSuite and Customer Success.

Regarding the conditions of the dismissal, only the details of the compensation offered to the company’s workers laid off in the United States are known: according to Business Insider, each of them will receive four weeks of base salary, plus one week for each additional year of seniority, up to a maximum of 26 weeks.
