Oura launches gorgeous new Ring 4 version and £99 charging case

Oura has expanded its wearable lineup with the Ring 4 Ceramic, available in Tide, Petal, Cloud and Midnight finishes.

Alongside the stylish new build comes a portable charging case and support for multiple devices on a single account, giving users a little more flexibility in how they track health and match personal style.

The new collection is crafted from zirconia ceramic, a material more often seen in fine jewellery. Unlike painted or coated finishes, the colour is baked into the ceramic itself, meaning it won’t chip or fade over time.

Each ring ships with a polishing pad for brushing away minor scuffs, a handy extra for anyone who wears their device to the gym or while cooking.

Oura has long pitched its ring as a health tool that doubles as jewellery, and the ceramic finish feels like the clearest expression of that yet.

It’s a contrast to chunkier wrist wearables such as the Samsung Galaxy Watch 7, which packs similar wellness tracking into a more traditional smartwatch design.

Charging on the go

The new charging case makes the Ring 4 more travel-friendly. It holds up to five full charges and tops up both itself and the ring in about 90 minutes using USB-C.

The case, made from recycled aluminium, also doubles as a durable storage solution. That’s a welcome addition, given how easily small devices can get misplaced.

Oddly, the case won’t be included with the Ring 4, and instead is a £99 addition. Rivals, like the Galaxy Ring, come with the case as standard.

For those who like to accessorise, Oura has also introduced multi-ring support, letting you swap between different colours or finishes without losing continuity in your health data. It’s a practical feature if you want something sleek at the office but a sportier look for workouts.

Still a data powerhouse

Underneath the ceramic shell, the Ring 4 offers the same sensor suite we highlighted in our Oura Ring 4 review, with deep insights into sleep, readiness, recovery and activity. In fact, it also earns a spot in the best fitness trackers guide, praised for its clarity and focus on long-term health rather than step counts alone.

That means while the new finish is about aesthetics, you’re still getting the same trusted health platform. Compared with rivals like the Galaxy Ring, Oura’s experience and ecosystem remain its strongest selling point.

The Ring 4 Ceramic isn’t a reinvention, but it shows Oura understands that wearables have to be personal as well as powerful. With its new case and multi-ring support, the company is smoothing out the rough edges of daily use. For anyone who values discreet, jewellery-like health tracking, this could be the most compelling Oura Ring yet.

The Oura Ring 4 Ceramic will retail for £/$499, with the Oura Ring 4 Charging Case coming in at £99. While the Ring will be available at retailers including Harrods from October 2, the case will arrive later in the year.
