While the launch of Call of Duty Black Ops 6 is a real success, becoming in just a few days the biggest launch in the history of the Call Of saga, we learned today that the mobile version of Call of Duty is also at the top with already over a billion downloads.
Call of Duty back on the front lines
After complicated years, “Call of” could be back. Thanks to Treyarch, which offers us a Call of Duty Black Ops 6 high class, with a Hollywood single player campaign reminiscent of the glory days of the license and a multiplayer that finally does justice to the saga.
Concerning the IOS and Android versions, we learn that Call of Duty Mobile just exceeded the billion downloads. Released in 2019, the title reached the 270 million downloads in its first year. Five years later, the billion mark has been reached.
Despite this success, Microsoft has already only announced Call of Duty Mobile should gradually disappearfor the benefit of Warzone Mobile which has been available since March 21, 2024.
But for now, Call of Duty Mobile is still active and even had the right to a new update this week with season 10 to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the game. The latter offers a new Battle Royale map with a place called Krai. This MAP offers a “dense urban landscape at the foot of the Urals”. Players will also be able to purchase new passes to obtain anniversary-related content, such as new operator skins, weapon blueprints, and calling cards.
