BRITS can access more than 40 new channels completely free from today – but you won’t find them on the usual TV guide.
As with many new launches these days, the channels are streamed online via one of the world’s most popular devices.

Roku has introduced the channels to UK users, with sport, entertainment, drama and more available to watch instantly.
The selection requires no sign up or subscription, so you can watch them straight away from a Roku gadget plugged into your TV.
Sports fans can find channels devoted to PGA TOUR, TNA Wrestling and MLB on offer.
And the entertainment slate includes classic episodes of the US Deal or No Deal and reality series Fear Factor.
In the drama category, there’s long-running US soap The Bold and the Beautiful available to watch.
And in the home selection, you will find The Martha Stewart Channel and This Old House.
There are also channels dedicated to Unsolved Mysteries, Untold Stories of the ER, NatureTime and Love Pets.
They’re all available through the Roku Channel and the newly launched Live TV Zone.
If you don’t own a Roku device then not to worry as some of these shows can already be access via rival services like Pluto TV.
And if you’re looking for something spooky to watch for Halloween, check out these.
Get more quality TV for free

By Jamie Harris, Assistant Technology and Science Editor
If you’re tired of paying out on several streaming services like Netflix and Disney+ then there are a growing number of free alternatives around.
While many of these alternatives have been filled with obscure content, more big names like Sky have got on board in recent years offering some quality stuff, which is largely archive but still entertaining.
As well as UKTV, Sony and 5 are among the other players getting involved.
If you haven’t already, give Pluto TV a go too – it has more than Halloween stuff to watch.
On there you’ll find channels from MTV, with Catfish and Geordie Shore.
Some of the classics are real gems too – I found myself watching long-forgotten episodes of Sabrina the Teenage Witch the other day.
