OVHcloud launches Quantum Platform, its Quantum Computing platform as a Service

OVHcloud has announced the launch of a quantum computing platform as a service, Quantum Platformwhich will give its clients access to a minimum of eight quantum computers. Among these devices is already the QPU Pasqal Orion Beta.

By facilitating access to quantum technologies, OVHcloud allows companies and organizations to prepare for highly complex technological challenges, in addition to solving problems and use cases that are too complicated to address with traditional computing approaches.

Thanks to the cloud, it is possible to access these advanced technologies, since it facilitates access to quantum computing, as well as its adoption, without the need for specialized infrastructure. With this platform, OVHcloud offers companies and public organizations access to the quantum computing technology with neutral atoms of the QPU Pasqal, in a 100-qubit system.

With the launch of the first Quantum Computing as a Service solution using the Pasqal QPU, OVHcloud expands its offering to include, in addition to the simulators it already had, which allow users to test different quantum computing models, real quantum computers accessible on demand. After Pasqal, OVHcloud plans to integrate another eight QPUs into the platform, including seven from European providers, by the end of 2027.

Fanny Couton, Head of Quantum Computing at OVHCloudhas highlighted that «it is launch allows us to offer our customers the most advanced technologies, while continuing to drive the development of a European quantum cloud. Today, at OVHcloud we are at the forefront of quantum computing and we want to provide our customers with the tools to iterate, test and learn, so that we can all be prepared to adopt quantum technology together.

As to Loïc Henriet, CEO of Pasqaladded that «Making our quantum computer available to OVHcloud represents an important step towards European digital sovereignty. This ensures that quantum computing, from hardware to cloud infrastructure, can be developed, implemented and operated entirely in Europe. “This collaboration embodies our common commitment to building a reliable, independent and competitive European quantum ecosystem.”
