Khaberni – Named in international and UN reports, social media activists and protesters describe it as “a secretive major US spy technology company serving Trump and his project”, as it has been named by international and UN reports in a list of 15 global companies involved in supporting Israeli occupation crimes against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement records show that “Palantir” recently won a $30 million contract to build a platform to track the movements of migrants in the United States and create a master database to speed up deportation processes.

Thanks to cooperation with the administration of US President Donald Trump, and after signing contracts with the US military, Palantir’s market value rose significantly after strong financial performance in the second quarter of 2025, where profits and revenues easily exceeded Wall Street expectations.

Develop monitoring tools
“Palantir” was founded for data analysis by Peter Thiel, Alex Karp and three others after the September 11, 2001 attacks.

The nature of the company’s work has always been under scrutiny because of the surveillance tools it produces, which were developed after the September 11 attacks, automating work previously done manually by US intelligence officers.

Peter Thiel, the chairman of Palantir’s board of directors, is a German-American billionaire who made his fortune through “Facebook”, and he also co-founded “PayPal”. He is known as a right-wing person who despises democracy and women’s rights, is a friend of billionaire Elon Musk, a supporter of Donald Trump, and has a strong influence on Vice President JD Vance.

Alex Karp is an American Jewish businessman who started his career investing in startups and stocks. His net worth is expected to surpass $12 billion this year, putting him among the top 300 richest people in the world, according to “Forbes” magazine.

Huge contracts
The company got a big boost from President Donald Trump’s campaign to increase government efficiency, awarding the US military a $10 billion contract over the next decade, cementing the company’s position as a key “data analyst” for the military.

The company is growing rapidly in Washington and has signed new contracts with seven federal agencies.

With increasing threats and US military involvement, from the war in Ukraine to escalating tensions between China and Taiwan, the Pentagon has prioritized increasing its capabilities in data extraction and the use of artificial intelligence in war.

Palantir stands out in this context with an application that makes it possible to link information about a person from different sources, whether it is personal information such as phone numbers and calls or official information such as that related to health insurance, universities or police, and even traffic violations. Thanks to this information, the application predicts the actions of that person using artificial intelligence.

The application is described as a tool for spying on individuals, and the company has sold it to several countries, including Israel, and was the focus of investigations that showed it was used to spy on several celebrities, including former German Chancellor Angela Merkel and former French President François Hollande and some adversaries in Arab countries.

Supporting the ‘genocide economy’
Palantir’s position on Gaza has been openly acknowledged by the company’s leaders; CEO Alexander Karp has made several comments on the Gaza war, openly supporting the Israeli occupation, stating that Palantir took part in “critical operations in Israel”, strongly condemning the pro-Palestinian protests at American universities and saying that demonstrators should be sent to North Korea. Palantir also announced the allocation of 180 jobs for Jewish university graduates.

In October 2023, the company published a full-page ad in The New York Times stating “Palantir Supports Israel”.

The Israeli military uses the AI program produced by the company to bomb targets in Gaza, and the Israeli Ministry of Defense also uses it to analyze drone images.

Palantir provided military and surveillance technology, supported by artificial intelligence, to the Israelis in their war against Gaza. These capabilities include providing the Israeli military and intelligence services with the necessary data to launch rockets at specific targets in Gaza, both homes and moving vehicles.

In September last year, Bloomberg reported that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a meeting in New York during his participation in the United Nations General Assembly meetings with a group of American investors and technology company executives to discuss the future of artificial intelligence and its impact on Israel’s economy and security.

Among those attending the meeting was Peter Thiel, chairman of Palantir’s board. The discussion focused on how the rapid development of artificial intelligence can be leveraged to boost Israel’s economy and maintain its technological superiority in defense.

Boycott of companies
Despite strong interest in its programs from many countries and security and military entities, Palantir faces a boycott from other entities. Last year, Norwegian asset manager Storebrand, one of the largest investors in the Nordic region, left Palantir due to its work against the Israeli occupation.

Storebrand noted that their analysis shows that the company provides products and services “including predictive policing systems based on artificial intelligence” that support Israeli surveillance of Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza, adding that the occupation authorities have a history of detaining Palestinians without charge or trial, according to the United Nations.

According to the American Friends Service Committee, Palantir is one of dozens of companies “profiting from the genocide in Gaza.”

Francesca Albanese, the UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territories occupied since 1967, highlighted the complicity of hundreds of major global corporations in supporting what she described as the “genocide economy” in the occupied Palestinian territories, including Palantir.

Albanese noted that Palantir’s collaboration with the Israeli occupation dates back years but escalated after October 2023, as the company’s continued support of the occupation, despite evidence of possible violations, amounts to “complicity in international crimes.”
