THE CELEBRITY boxing fight between Patrick Mahomes’ dad and controversial MLB star John Rocker has been cancelled.
Mahomes Sr, 54, and Rocker, 50, were scheduled to lock horns in April but promoter Dave Portnoy announced that the bout is now off.

Portnoy claims plans were scrapped, and Mahomes Jr’s wife Brittany played a major role with her interjection.
The Barstool Sports chief alleged that Mrs Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs superstar’s agent torpedoed the whole deal.
And the businessman was left frustrated as he insists the fight was entirely the two baseball stars’ idea as they were the ones that approached him asking to put it together.
Portnoy told The Unnamed Show: “Mahomes’ agent, the football player, and Brittany — from what I am told — intervened and were like, ‘There’s no way this fight’s happening. We’re going to cut this guy off if he does it’.
“They came to us to do this. How would we ever come up with this concept?
“Like, ‘Oh, let’s put John Rocker vs Pat Mahomes Sr’. Like, who would ever think of that?
“They came to us and said they hated each other and wanted to fight.”
According to TMZ, Mahomes Sr – an MLB great in his own right – and Rocker staged an altercation in New Orleans during Super Bowl week earlier this month to drum up interest in the fight.
That was before Mahomes Jr and the Chiefs lost 40-22 to the Philadelphia Eagles at the Caesars Superdome.
The same source claims the baseball greats agreed to the fight in January.
Mahomes Sr was expected to make at least $85,000 from that boxing fight.
