Pipedrive, a sales customer relationship management system backed by artificial intelligence, today announced a network of intelligent AI agents that will assist customers at every stage of the sales process like teammates.
Pipedrive helps salespeople manage and automate the sales process so that they can focus on leads and strategy. With this new update, the company is expanding its current AI features to add agents, which can take action on their own with very little human intervention, part of an industry trend known as agentic AI.
“We’re at a turning point, witnessing a pivotal moment in technology – one where AI is no longer a distant concept but a tangible, accessible superpower integrated into everyday tools,” said Pipedrive Chief Executive Dominic Allon. “Our new vision, centered around the agentic AI experience, marks a new era of innovation creating a more intuitive and dynamic way for professionals to engage with technology.”
Although Pipedrive’s agents can act and react on their own, the company said that salespeople remain in control. Each one is tailored to the specific customer’s context and provides voice and text assistance to take on routine tasks, communicate information and help accelerate what would otherwise be grunt work such as research, summarizing long-winded reports, writing emails, examining schedules and more.
For example, an AI agent could craft personalized contact emails for leads, explain why it used particular wording and highlight specific research. This would give the salesperson a chance to spend more time on lead generation, urgent follow ups and opportunities without letting them fall through the cracks, the company said.
The new agentic experience builds on Pipedrive AI, a set of tools built on OpenAI’s large language models and Pipedrive’s own software. It provides an AI assistant, summarization, recommendations, proposals and insights into the sales pipeline. Pipedrive’s new agentic teammates can tap into this same AI-powered capability and use these skills themselves when asked.
Agents will also be able to engage with Pipedrive Pulse, a recently released AI-powered prospecting capability in closed beta mode that helps teams identify, research and engage with customers. It helps users prioritize deals, reduce time spent on manual tasks and close more deals by identifying the best approach based on the information available.
The company said in 2025 more capabilities will be added to the platform and its agentic experience. This includes an improved version of Pulse for the whole customer base that will be available in the springtime.
