The Steelers are expected to announce the signing of Rodgers following the NFL Draft this weekend in Green Bay, per the Daily Mail.
Pittsburgh was linked with multiple quarterbacks, including Shedeur Sanders, during Thursday’s first round, but selected defensive tackle Derrick Harman instead.
The decision comes as the Steelers met with the 41-year-old Rodgers last month.
It’s believed that the iconic franchise is ready to add Rodgers to its roster in the next few weeks.

Rodgers was believed not to want to share his future decision while the NFL Draft took place in Green Bay, where he played in the NFL for 18 seasons.
The Daily Mail also reported that Rodgers likely would’ve decided on his future if the draft had been held anywhere else.
Earlier this month, Rodgers appeared on The Pat McAfee Show and opened up about his future in the NFL.
The four-time NFL MVP didn’t rule out retirement and revealed that he’s been suffering from personal issues off the field in the last few months.
‘I’m in a different phase of my life, I’m 41 years old, I’m in a serious relationship, I have personal commitments I’ve made… and people in my inner circle battling difficult stuff,’ Rodgers said.
“To make a commitment to a team is a big thing.”
The Steelers have just two quarterbacks on their roster: Mason Rudolph and Skylar Thompson.
Pittsburgh could still look to attempt to add a quarterback in the later rounds.
The Minnesota Vikings have also been linked with Rodgers.
However, the team expressed their confidence in 2024 first-round pick quarterback JJ McCarthy and revealed they haven’t pursued Rodgers.
