A TOP-BRAND telly with a huge 4K display has had its price slashed over at Argos.

The 65-inch Ultra HD Toshiba model is now on sale for just £379.

Better still, it comes with built-in Freely for access to a broad selection of free telly.

That works over Wi-Fi so you don’t need to connect an aerial or dish to get Freely service access.

The TV is normally £429, which is already a decent price for this type of television.

This particular model is the Toshiba 65-inch 65QV1563DB, which has a large QLED display that delivers over a billion colour shades.

And it also supports Dolby Vision HDR, which is a type of High Dynamic Range format for improved contrast and a broader range of colours.

But it also handles HDR10 and HLG formats fine too.

It also supports Dolby Audio, which Toshiba reckons will deliver “clearer dialogue, richer detail, and a better listening experience”.

The TV has a 4K resolution display, which means you’ll be able to watch 4K / Ultra HD telly in its native resolution.

And if you’re watching lower-res content – like Full HD – the TV has an upscaling system to bring up the resolution (though it won’t be as good as proper 4K).

It supports the usual roster of mainstream TV apps, including:

  • Disney+
  • Netflix
  • BBC iPlayer
  • ITVX
  • My5
  • All 4
  • Amazon Prime Video
  • YouTube

And it comes with Freely, which is a free British over-the-air service that only launched in 2024.

It’s the product of Everyone TV, which is a partnership between BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and 5.

This lets you watch live TV and on-demand content on a single TV guide, all using the internet.

Eventually it’s expected that Freely will totally replace the regular Freeview service.

This Toshiba telly is a 2025 model, and can be wall-mounted on a 400 x 200 bracket if you like.

It has a single USB port plus two HDMI sockets on the back, so you could plug in an Amazon Fire TV Stick and an Xbox, for instance, as well as a USB drive with saved media on it.

On top of that, you can also use smart home assistants like Amazon Alexa or Google‘s AI helper to control and search your telly.
