Asterix, our favorite mustachioed Gaul, continues to conquer new territories! After his immersive exhibition at the Ateliers des Lumières in Paris, which ends on January 5, 2025, and the Netflix animated series directed by Alain Chabat in preparation, since September 2024 he has been offering his own adventure in virtual reality: Asterix: Mission Potions!
This first VR experience dedicated to the world of comics promises to appeal to young and old alike, while pushing the limits of immersion.

An adventure by Virtual Room and Hachette
Developed by the French Virtual Room studios, pioneers of collaborative virtual reality, in collaboration with Hachette editions, this unique experience has been available since September 7, 2024. Accessible from 8 years old, it is offered in all Virtual Room rooms in France, as well as in Belgium and Switzerland.
It’s a success: more than 25,000 players have already tried the experience, including 5,000 in Paris, explains Benoît Bouthinon, general manager of Virtual Room. He explains: “The content is on target, because it was able to find its audience: an audience composed mainly of families, sometimes multi-generational – grandparents, parents and grandchildren playing together – and, above all, an audience often far from VR, who discover this medium thanks to a known and reassuring license.”
The scenario: to the rescue of Panoramix
The adventure begins in the famous Asterix village: the druid Panoramix asks for your help to find an essential ingredient for his magic potion.
Each scene is produced with meticulous care: the Gallic countryside, where you have to find four-leaf clovers, the epic escape from a prison, the battle against the Roman legionnaires, all the settings, all the animations are strikingly realistic . The humorous details and nods to the world of Goscinny and Uderzo are omnipresent: the songs, the famous pirate ship, the animals in the background and the touches of humor will delight fans.
This collaborative experience also places emphasis on communication between players. In the event of a blockage, a game master intervenes via an earpiece to guide the participants.
A faithful and immersive universe
Lasting 45 minutes, Asterix: Mission Potions! is aimed at everyone: from children aged 8 and over to nostalgic adults. Designed for teams of 2 to 4 people, this adventure combines reflection, cooperation and exploration.
Between escape game and interactive cinema, this experience is a true homage to the original work while fully exploiting the possibilities offered by virtual reality.
