Watchguard Technologies will soon have a new CEOafter confirming that eThe current, Prakash Panjwani, will leave your responsibilities operational at the head of the company from next May 14after 10 years in the post. Panjwani will continue to be part of the Watchguard Board of Directors and will perform as a strategic advisor to the company.
From that day, and temporarily, Watchguard will have a CEO provisional: Vats SrivatsanCapital and veteran vector partner of the cybersecurity sector. It has decades of leadership experience and deep knowledge of the sector. Srivatsan will also join the Watchguard Board of Directors, which will open a public process to choose the next permanent CEO.
Throughout his career, Vats Srivatsan has been responsible for various transformation processes in cloud and security, has climbed high growth operations and promoted various technological programs for several of the main companies in the sector, such as Sentinelone, Palo Alto Networks or Google Cloud.
During the process, the interim CEO will actively collaborate with the company’s executive team to boost the execution of operations and maintain its strategic approach, advancing to meet its objective, which goes through simplifying cybersecurity for the MSP. It will also deal with supervising the climbing of the platform, the reinforcement of the relationship with the partners and the acceleration of innovation in key areas for Watchguard. Among them are managed services, endpoint protection and hybrid network safety.
As for Prakash Panjwani, during his stage at the head of Watchguard he has supervised six strategic acquisitions for the company, which have expanded their capacity in protection of endpoints, identity, and detection and managed response (MDR). At this stage, Watchguard has tripled both its annual income and its template.
