Pre-Order Google’s Incredible AI-Powered Pixel 9a Before It Sells Out

We just wrapped up our review of the new Google Pixel 9a phone and came away impressed enough to give the device an Editors’ Choice award. This is the most affordable entry in the Pixel 9 lineup, but Alphabet didn’t skimp on the features. It comes with impressive cameras, a powerful Tensor G4 processor, a crystal-clear display, great build quality, and a long software support window. The only real differences between it and the mainline Pixel 9 are the loss of a few non-essential features like mmWave 5G, reverse wireless charging and satellite messaging. For $300 less, that’s an easy sacrifice to make.

Sound enticing? The Pixel 9a officially goes on sale June 1, but you can get your order in early and guarantee you’ll get one. Many major retailers have offers and even discounts available, so let’s run through the best ones.

How To Pre-Order A Google Pixel 9a

Your first stop could be straight to the manufacturer. Google has a pre-order page all set up and ready to go for the Pixel 9a. The phone is available in a choice of four colors: Iris, Peony, Porcelain and Obsidian (that’s blue, pink, white, and black for humble folks), and comes with 128GB of storage for $499, or 256GB for $599. You can order it unlocked to work with any carrier or, if you have an existing contract, already hooked up to Google Fi, Verizon or AT&T for the same price. You also get $100 in Google Store credit with purchase. Google also takes trade-ins, so you can get rid of your old phone and reduce the cost of the new Pixel 9a to as low as $99.

How To Pre-Order From Amazon

Amazon has a pre-order page for the Pixel 9a as well, with promised delivery on June 3. It has the same four color options and two storage options, with prices at $499 and $599. No offers, bundles or discounts have been announced yet.

Other retailers haven’t launched pre-orders yet, which is a little surprising, but when it goes live we’ll update this page to add them. We’d expect Best Buy to offer a similar deal as Google, with a $100 credit and trade-in potential, and stores like Target and Walmart will probably have unlocked models for retail price. Wherever you opt to buy from, you’ll get a tremendous Android phone with cool AI features, great cameras and tons of battery life.
