Get ready folks, Prime Day is officially here and the sale has kicked off with an outright banger on the Asus Chromebook 14.

Chromebooks are already a great alternative to traditional Windows laptops as they can still run all of the essential programmes that most students use, but they typically come with a much cheaper price tag. The Asus Chromebook 14 CX3402CBA is just one such example, but now it’s been given a slick price cut for Prime Day.

Making the laptop even more affordable than before, you can now get the Asus Chromebook 14 CX3402CBA for just £237, down from the original price of £399.99. That’s a massive £162.99 saving to be had, making it a bargain offer ahead of the next school year.

Here’s your chance to get a bargain Chromebook

Asus’ 14-inch Chromebook has plenty of high-end features including a 144Hz refresh rate and Wi-Fi 6E, but it’s going for a steal.

If you’ve never used a Chromebook before then any scepticism you may have is completely justified. I used to be the same until I swapped over to a Chromebook last year and absolutely loved my time with it.

Because Chromebooks are designed with one thing in mind, which is to run the Chrome browser and any apps within it, it’s able to do that but with exceptional speed. Compared to most of the Windows laptops and PCs I’ve used in the past, turning on a Chromebook and diving straight back into work from where you left off tends to be a much faster experience.

With that in mind, if you mostly work within the Chrome browser, whether that be writing up articles in Google Docs like myself, or designing image templates and posters in Canva, you should seriously consider picking up the Asus CX3402CBA whilst it’s on offer.

Speaking of which, in spite of its affordable price tag, the CX3402CBA has quite a few features that you’d typically expect to see at the higher end of the market. For starters, the display features a high 144Hz refresh rate and there’s a Wi-Fi 6E connection for high-speed streaming, both of which combined are ideal for cloud gaming.

When you want to kick back after a long day of work, you can flip the screen of the CX3402CBA and use it like a tablet to watch a bit of Netflix or Disney Plus. As a final point, you should be able to get up to 10-hours of use from this device on a single charge, which should be more than enough to get you through most of your day without needing to top-up.

For all that the Asus  CX3402CBA brings to the table, it’s incredible to see it drop to such an affordable price for Prime Day. Just remember, the deal won’t be available for long so make sure to jump on it while you can.
