Probability distributions on orthogonal groups or Grassmannians can be obtained from distributions on spheres using various group-theoretic relations and geometric properties.

We also mention the reference [114] on statistical ML algorithms on Grassmannians, implemented through the matrix Bingham distribution and matrix Langevin distribution. The later can be obtained from von Mises-Fisher distributions on spheres.
